[REGIONAL ACCREDITOR]

[ADDRESS]

Dear [PRESIDENT’S NAME],

This letter notifies [REGIONAL ACCREDITOR] of a simple consortial [OR COOPERATIVE] agreement [UNDER AN ASSOCIATION OR BETWEEN INSTITUTIONS] that will allow [NAME OF YOUR INSTITUTION]’s students to access some of the existing on-line courses of other independent colleges. With an on-line portal built and operated by a technology company known as College Consortium (CC), the agreement allows institutions’ (“home” institutions) students to easily register for a small number of on-line courses via the portal.  The company facilitates the admissions and registration processes for the students, provides syllabi for all courses and necessary documentation for “home” institutions to satisfy all federal and regional reporting, and helps the students remain enrolled in their Home Institutions and graduate on time.

It is expected that [YOUR INSTITUTION]’s students will take no more than one or two courses through this agreement but will in any case take fewer than 25% of their degree program hours.Credit for the courses will be transcribed as [YOUR INSTITUTION]’s credit.

Since the agreement leverages existing, approved courses delivered through a consortial [OR COOPERATIVE] agreement, the Commission’s Substantive Change Policy requires this notification prior to implementation, with a copy of the signed agreement.*

A copy of the agreement is attached.Implementation for this partnership will begin with the [START TERM AND DATE].

Thank you for continued support of the quality of our programs. Please let us know if you need any further information.

Sincerely,

[NAME]
