Overview of the enrollment statuses:

  1. Requested: The enrollment request has been sent to the Teaching Institution who will accept or deny the request. This request was initiated by the approval of a student registration request by the Home Institution or by the submission of an administrator enrollment request by the Home Institution.
  2. Denied: The respective Teaching Institution did not accept the enrollment request. This enrollment is now shown in the Finalized section in the account.
  3. Removed: The Home Institution decided to stop (and thus 'remove') an enrollment request before the respective Teaching Institution could accept or deny the request. This enrollment is now shown in the Finalized section in the account.
  4. Accepted: The enrollment has been accepted at the respective Teaching Institution. The enrollment statuses once Accepted vary depending on the course dates as explained below. The principal course section dates are the Start Date, Drop Date, and End Date.
  5. Pending: The enrollments have been accepted at the respective Teaching Institution, but the course has not yet started. On the course start date the enrollment will become 'Active,' as explained below.
  6. Active: The enrollments have been accepted at the respective Teaching Institution, and the course has already started. The student should now have access to the course and be participating.
  7. Dropped: The enrollment was cancelled prior to the drop date for that section passing (i.e., the student left the course during the Teaching Institution's drop period). No payment was run for this enrollment. This enrollment is now shown in the Finalized section in the account.
  8. Withdrawn: The enrollment was cancelled following the drop date for that section passing (i.e., the student left the course after the Teaching Institution's drop period). Payment was run for this enrollment. Unless otherwise specified by the Teaching Institution the student received a grade of "W" for "Withdraw." This enrollment is now shown in the Finalized section in the account.
  9. Due: The enrollment that was accepted at the respective Teaching Institution has hit its End Date (i.e., the course has ended). Grades are now 'Due' for these enrollments and only the respective Teaching Institution can mark the enrollment as 'Complete' as explained below.
  10. Complete: The course has ended and the student has fulfilled the requirements to complete the course. Grades are now available as provided by the respective Teaching Institution (note: if the enrollment was a transfer enrollment, an official transcript should have been ordered by the student). This enrollment is now shown in the Finalized section in the account.

Legacy Status:
1. Cancelled: This status is no longer used as of late 2017. Prior to being sunset it reflected a 'Drop' by a Teaching Institution. The status was merged with the 'Drop' status as explained above.
